Mystery Disappearance

Following the mystery disappearance of our crime reporter the editor has been sent the adjacent short note purporting to be from him.

Accompanying the note was yet another note, penned in a different hand, claiming to know his location or locations.

"Our suspicions were aroused when we found that the parrot on his shoulder could repeat verbatim conversations, a sort of winged recording device.

These suspicions were confirmed when we we found out that Pete's legs numbered in the plural rather than the singular.

Pete has now become a permanent inhabitant of Romney Marsh in several different discrete locations.

Such is the fate of those who would seek to deprive the clerk of his baccy, the parson his brandy etc etc."
